In 1980, Jane Rollins took a calligraphy class to wind down from the pressure of her Special Education career. She became mesmerized by the meditative practice of the letterforms, which combined a fascination for ancient history and love of words and letters. Four years later she left the field of special education and began her own business as a professional freelance calligrapher.

Recently, Rollins' work has combined the gestural lines with traditional letter forms. She enjoys experimenting with unconventional lettering tools and mediums which allow for more freedom of expression while creating layers of texture and complexity.

Her artwork has appeared in various international juried publications and she has exhibited throughout the New England area. In 2018 her work was accepted for publication in the annual Letter Arts Review. She is a founding member of the West Bay Open Studios and a member and past president of Masscribes. She is a member of Wickford Art Association and the Warwick Center of the Arts.

Jenny Thompson creates acrylic landscapes and seascapes that capture the beauty of nature and invite viewers into moments of inspiration and serenity. Her work is rooted in a deep love for the natural world, which she expresses through soft palettes and emotive brushstrokes that create a sense of connection and positivity. Jenny infuses each piece with her signature style while enjoying the creative process of tailoring her work to reflect personal stories and cherished memories.
