The Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly (ACGOW) invites art enthusiasts to its highly anticipated 9th annual Art Heist Gala, taking place Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the historic Westerly Armory.

Guests will enjoy an evening of exceptional art, delicious food, beverages, live music, and an exciting opportunity to take home an original work of art.

Tickets are on sale now at the Artists' Cooperative Gallery, located at 14 Railroad Avenue in Westerly. Heist tickets are $150 and include admission for the ticket holder plus one, a generous selection of food and beverages, live entertainment, and a guaranteed opportunity to "heist" one original work of art, valued at $250 or more.  General admission tickets are $40 per person and include access to the gala, food, beverages, and entertainment, but do not include participation in the art heist.

The artwork featured in the Heist has been generously donated by ACGOW members and other talented regional artists. Beginning July 1, the collection will be on display in the Community Gallery at ACGOW, located in the historic Westerly Train Station. Visitors can preview an impressive variety of original works, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and mixed-media pieces, offering something to appeal to every artistic taste.

The evening will also feature an enticing assortment of hearty hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and a variety of libations generously provided by ACGOW artists and local vendors.

Patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets early, as Art Heist tickets sold out prior to last year's event.

The Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly is located at 14 Railroad Avenue in downtown Westerly. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
