Watercolor painting is a beautiful way for Robert Chase to capture people and places at a particular moment in time, and being able to share it with others.

My interest is in painting people and places doing everyday things: swimming, boating, fishing, and exploring the coast with a "paintbrush of color!" If I can make one person smile and feel that living here in southern New England is a blessing, then my heart holds meaning.

I grew up in Rhode Island and have lived here my entire life. I studied art in high school and at the Rhode Island College Art Program. I am a graduate and alumnus of the Tuscan Art Academy Mentorship Program with Andy Evansen. Watercolor painting is my focus and my favorite art medium. I like how transparent it is, and how how quickly you can work with it. Most especially, I love the little surprises that happen sometimes when colors mix, or when water pulls the color into new areas.

I have recently dedicated myself full time to my painting so that I can create and share a bit of myself and perspective with others.
