­      Patty Nunes is a lifelong resident of the Westerly/Stonington area.  It was not until she retired from her career in education that she began to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. She began painting in 2010 when she studied with Ralph Acosta noted Mystic, CT, watercolorist.

­      A lover of travel, and of her hometown, most of her work depicts the beauty in our locale, and vistas throughout the U. S. and Europe. Nunes' soft watercolors depict her appreciation of the natural world's colors and creatures.  Most of her inspiration for a painting comes from her photographs.

­      Patty has received attention for her watercolors, has exhibited in various venues in RI and CT, and has been an active member of ACGOW since 2011. Her changing original pieces can be seen at ACGOW, as well as her small works, prints and cards in The Gallery Shop.
