Lynn Anderson Multiple Media Illustrator

“The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.” ~ Neil Gaiman

I grabbed hold of a magical thread of creativity early in my life and have held on ever since. Visual art helps me know myself and the world around me. When life gets confusing and it seems that the center cannot hold, I create something that has not existed before and that action takes me away, gives me perspective and brings me home again.

Lynn Anderson lives on the beach in Noank, Connecticut where she draws and paints in her studio in view of the waters of Fishers Island Sound. She is a founding member of the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly RI, helping found the group in 1992 and has happily exhibited there continuously ever since. She was Vice President of ACGOW for many years and continues to serve on the Board of Directors, and Chair the Memorial Fund.

Over the years Lynn has explored oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel painting as well as sculpture and mixed media. Currently her work is in editorial cartooning and children’s book illustration. She is the author/illustrator of “The Flying Horses of Watch Hill”, a children’s book published by Flat Hammock Press, which is always available at the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly.
